The dark golden whisky is perceived as slightly dry and woody on the nose. The combination of brown sugar, nuts, dried fruit with herbs, honey, and foliage has a strong recognition value. On the palate, the bitter characteristics are only present in traces. Their place is taken by caramel, honey, and cream. The moderate aftertaste brings subtle facets of caramelized sugar, accentuated by spices, oak wood, and herbs.
The mild Suntory Very Rare Old Expo 1970 can be served without any additives.
