Ron Zacapa Rum is produced in the Zacapa region of Guatemala. Since 1930, the producer has been Licorera Zacapaneca, owned equally by Industrias Licoreras de Guatemala and the British food and beverage conglomerate Diageo. Read more

Ron Zacapa Rum matures in charred bourbon oak barrels in the mountains of Quetzaltenango. At an altitude of 2300 meters lies the "House above the Clouds," where the rum develops its complex character at a constant temperature of 16 degrees Celsius. The rum varieties from Ron Zacapa receive their finish in Spanish sherry barrels, imparting a cognac-like flavor to them.
