The roots of the Canadian whisky producer trace back to the founding year of 1962 when Harold Cameron Terry acquired Potter's Distilleries. In the early 1990s, a relocation to Kelowna in British Columbia took place. In 2005, the distillery became part of the Highwood Distillers conglomerate.
