The Rough Rider Bourbon from Long Island Spirits is an ode to Teddy Roosevelt's first US Volunteer Cavalry.
The bourbon ages for a minimum of four years before undergoing an additional aging process of three to six months alongside an older bourbon. For this, the blend is stored in Merlot and Chardonnay barrels from local wineries. Prior to this, these barrels are washed with brandy.
Only the best barrels are hand-filled and sold each year.
