Rum 1823

A fusion of Jamaican exoticism and Swiss tradition

40.0 %vol. / 0.7 lt

The refined Rum 1823 comes from the Swiss spirits manufacturer Etter. It was created from Jamaican molasses. During its aging process of at least seven years, the rum matured in old bourbon barrels. The producers refrained from cold filtering to bring an unadulterated drop to the market. The rum was bottled at 40% ABV. The number 1823 represents the beginning of the family business Etter Söhne AG.

The number 1823 represents the beginning of the family business Etter Söhne AG. The long years in the wooden cask have refined the rum with a powerful gold color. Its aroma brings Jamaican joy into the glass: bitter oranges, spices, bananas, roasted aromas, and plums. The full-bodied tasting experience is a combination of wood, caramel, and juicy citrus fruits. The warm finish lingers on the palate long after the tasting. A top-notch rum like this should be enjoyed neat. Its exotic flavors transport you to the Caribbean from the very first sip.
