Due to the very warm harvest year of 2018, the fruit in this wine presents itself exceptionally ripe and pronounced in the glass. Aromas of ripe and delicate red berries, along with some undergrowth nuances, are complemented by herbal notes. The barrel aging further enhances the wine with a subtle smokiness, adding an extra layer of complexity. This wine is particularly well-suited for moderately seasoned meats such as pork, duck, or chicken, but also pairs beautifully with a mushroom risotto or pasta.
