Since 1953, the distillery has been producing whiskeys using a time-tested recipe - the original formula has remained unchanged over the decades. The company has been located in the city of Loretto, Kentucky, for around 70 years. Despite a commitment to old traditions, the distillery made pioneering contributions to the industry: Margie's role as the first female worker in a distillery was unusual at that time. The innovative spirit propelled Maker's Mark to fame beyond national borders.
