With the adjoining taproom, where their homemade beer was served alongside live music, the company quickly gained recognition. Leopold's is also known for its ecological production practices, the use of organic ingredients, as well as sustainable water and waste management. Since 2001, the distillery, which relocated to Denver, Colorado in the mid-2000s, has also been producing whiskey, which is now the primary focus.
