The single malt, distilled in pot stills in the USA, is made from 100% American barley.

It ages for a period of 3 to 4 years in bourbon barrels and French oak wine barrels. The filtration process involves maple charcoal.

Finally, it's bottled in Umeshu casks that previously held a Japanese plum liqueur made from California Ume fruits.

The Californian iteration, based on the Japanese approach to classic Scotch whisky, was inspired by Japanese whisky highballs, hence the name "Baller". The single malt has a malty, sweet, and complex taste with a slate-like, warm dryness. It leaves behind a burst of wild plum and a smoky finish on the palate. Baller Single Malt by St. George Spirits is considered one of the most visionary whiskies on the market. Enthusiasts prefer it as a highball, Boulevardier, or as a substitute for Scotch whisky in a Bobby Burns or Rob Roy cocktail.
