The maturation has given the whisky an intense orange-red color. It has a wonderfully summery aroma of citrus fruits, oak wood, sugar, and malt. On the palate, woody-smoky flavors and hints of peat unfold, mingling with the velvety sweetness of honey. The finish leaves a dry and slightly bitter sensation on the tongue. On the rocks or as an ingredient in cocktails, Nikka Hi Nikka is the perfect whisky for warm summer days. Even neat, the mild single malt tastes excellent.
