The taste on the palate then transitions to pastry, cherries, and almonds, accompanied by hints of coffee, a subtle earthiness, and later, plum. In the finish, the charcoal from the barrel is noticeable, but the impression of juicy, ripe fruits persists. This bourbon is enjoyable neat or on the rocks and, due to its fruitiness, also serves as a base for cocktails.
