Our Weinlaubenhof Kracher Range

The Austrian wine estate Kracher is located in Burgenland. Near Lake Neusiedl, the proprietors have cultivated vines. The region's mild climate offers ideal conditions for healthy vines, from which the producers create rare quality wines. While the winery is based in Austria, its history is shaped by international influences from France and California. Each of the three owners has infused their individual worldview and marketing strategies into the business processes. Read more

Firm founder Alois Kracher Senior initially focused on the domestic market. His son discovered a niche for sweet wines in the US market. Gerhard Kracher feels connected to the southern French 'Savoir-vivre' but also values Austrian roots. This business acumen helped the brand gain a reputation beyond regional borders. The year 1959 marked the founding year in the company's chronicles: experienced winemaker Alois Kracher Senior opened his own venture to independently bottle various sweet wines with regional character. In the early seventies, his son Alois joined the family business. In 1991, Weinlaubenhof Kracher established itself in the US market: the aromatic wine varieties granted the family business a cult status in the United States. The groundbreaking success was celebrated in the media as the 'Wine Miracle from Austria.' Starting in 2001, Alois was supported by his son Gerhard. Six years later, Gerhard took over his father's business. Emulating the exemplary business management of his relatives, the Francophile Gerhard Kracher also takes his own innovative paths as the current company owner with exclusive collection boxes, ensuring that his brand continues to enjoy global popularity in the future.
