Gordon & MacPhail is one of the world's leading whisky producers with a history spanning over 125 years. It started as a small grocery store, founded by James Gordon and John Alexander MacPhail. In the initial years, the business focused on selling spirits, tea, and coffee.

After recognizing the potential of whiskies as a beverage of choice, Gordon & MacPhail started producing their own Scottish single malts. In 1993, the company expanded its operations with the acquisition of the Benromach Distillery, where they have since been producing their own whiskies in the style of classic Speyside malts.
