    Founded in 1881, the distillery is located on Islay near Port Askaig. It boasts the largest wash stills in Scotland, and its fermentation vessels are made of Douglas fir wood. Since April 2013, the distillery has been owned by the South African company Distell Group Ltd. It offers a variety of original releases.
