The MacAllan Classic Cut 2018 is the second limited special release of the Classic Cut series, which was first introduced in 2017 by MacAllan. The oak casks in which the single malt whisky matured were personally selected by MacAllan's Master Distiller. In former Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, the MacAllan Classic Cut 2018 developed its complex, sweetness-dominated flavor profile.

The robust aroma and balanced taste of this Speyside whisky contain notes of citrus fruits, spicy nutmeg, and ginger. A sweet hint of vanilla is also present. The finish is medium-long, leaving a dry oak note. Bottled at 51.2% ABV, the MacAllan Classic Cut 2018, with its golden color, is visually pleasing as well.
